1999/2000
BIRTH OF THE CABARET !
In the middle of the XIXth century " Charles LAMBERT " and his wife were public entertainers... That was not considered as e performing art, making it difficult for this young couple to earn a living. They traveled from town to town like fairground people. That is how they opened the way for street art.
Many many years later, Patrice Chevalier Charles Lambert's great grandson whose artist name is "Baron Kent Derrick", pushed away the limits of the the human body in order to surprise, to fill the audience with awe. Indeed for more than a quarter of a century,Mr Chevalier lives from the performing art with constantly new plans.
It was in 1991 in dressing rooms, that he came across a particular artist... That woman then found support for her artistic creation. The success of the streets shows led this artistic couple towards revues with feathers, glitter and spangle ant that throughout the French country.
It was in 1997, that the couple Kent and Kim Derrick became aware of the pleasure they were offering the public. In that same year, Kent Derrick went to perform and present his art in Morocco, at the celebrations of one of the King's son's birthday.
2000 was the scene of a dramatic turn of events, Mr CHEVALIER and Mrs DEPOORTER wanted to improve their work gear. Then, in the heart of Flanders, in open countryside, they take the mad gamble to open a show hall with 240 tables. And that is how "Le Grand Cabaret de Vieux-Berquin" was born with "Paris Première" revue. * First the Cabaret was called " Le P'tit Paris ".
